The standard WIESE casing is supplied as an entirely closed metal casing with inspection holes.
Casings with removable side covers make cleaning easier. For this purpose, the completely removable side sections are part of the whole base, including the corner section as a cover. These covers are secured with two to three sash fasteners, and can be completely unhinged and put to the side using two grip plates.
Closed Casing with maintenance doors
The standard WIESE casing is always supplied with drawers underneath the in-feed and the corner modules. Optionally, these can be inserted from both sides, without reassembling, and are secured with casement fasteners. Fitting all horizontal conveying lines with drawers is highly recommended, as this makes quick and easy cleaning possible.
In standard WIESE casings, doors made entirely of polycarbonate can be inserted. These ?transparent inspection doors? are easy to clean and can be inserted in the vertical section? cover sheets, or underneath the head segments. These doors are fitted with hinges and sash fasteners for quick and easy access.
In standard WIESE casings, windows made entirely of polycarbonate can be inserted. So you can observe the bucket filling without opening any inspection doors.
We recommend inserting this window in a steel flap, so that you can wipe off dust from the inside at any time. Flaps made completely of polycarbonate are available as well.(see FAQ 3 “transparent door”).
When conveying dusty goods – e. g. powder, sugar, sand – brackets (DN100 or DN200) connected with the customer?s suction system for all in-feed and discharge points are recommended. This substantially reduces dust deposits in the casing.
Repair / cleaning / maintenance:
You can always repair it on site by vulcanising. Where the damage is minor or tears negligible, special adhesive can be used. Experience has shown however that this is hardly ever necessary.
This is only used for fitting, to insert the chain in a relaxed state. Then the chain tension is adjusted once again and re-checked after a few days.
The rubber chain can be produced to any length. Bucket and pendulum bucket conveyors with a total chain length of over 150m have been produced. For some applications, rubber chains with a total length of over 400m have been supplied.
The chain is either vulcanised to make an endless ring, or it is closed with link connector bolts and split pins. We will suggest the most suitable solution depending on the situation on site (for example, what sort of products are to be conveyed? Are they abrasive? Are they sticky?)
The WIESE casings are supplied in a modular form. They include drill holes for any subsequent layout modifications. They are also symmetrical so that all components can be swapped from right to left without having to carry out any major construction work.
You can obtain spare parts for your WIESE bucket conveyor for more than 20 years after you have installed it. We update and stock all the technical documents for each bucket conveyor supplied. Just state your machine number and you can obtain the correct spare part for years afterwards.
As a standard, all casings are fitted with drawers / FAQ2 / in the in-feed segments and the corner segments. These can be inserted on both sides. As well as the standard inspection doors, larger removable side covers / FAQ1 / can also be supplied. Doors can also be applied to the whole vertical section.
The additional advantage of pendulum bucket conveyors is that the pendulum buckets can be removed anywhere without additional tools and cleaned outside of the casing.
Cleaning and drying nozzles can be inserted in all types of Wiese conveyors.
However we suggest to remove and exchange the pendulum buckets, as the buckets are washed and dried externally, which means that no moisture is introduced into the casing.
As with any piece of technical equipment, WIESE bucket conveyors are also subject to the basic laws of physics. Chemical resistance for example is very good, but some cases require careful consideration to find the best solution. When conveying hot goods conveyed or the ambient temperature is high, appropriate materials will be selected.
Not as a rule. WIESE engineers will select the suitable chain type with a safety factor of eight to ten times more than the nominal load for your project.
